My dad passed away on Nov 5. He had a hard time these last couple years. I'm sure he's in a much better place (where ever that may be). Seems he wanted to go. I'll be a little sad for a while. This might be my last post for a while. I'm working on a new blog. This one has been a journey from one place to another. Seems fairly appropriate to end with this. When you lose a parent, no matter how old you are, you, or at least I, realized that you are now responsible. That imaginary "cushion" is gone. yikes. Those of you that have lost a parent know what I mean. Time also has a new meaning for me.

Hey baby. Sorry about your season of sadness but that is the way home to yourself. My friend Geneva (now a dead parent herself) said that when a parent dies it is like a tall tree falling in the forest. Then the younger trees can have more of the sunlight and nourishment they need to grow strong. Will be thinking of you. Love, L.
